The department is self-supporting and receives no local taxpayer dollars. This requires that we operate as a profitable business, while providing nutritious and appealing meals to students and staff and following the guidelines of the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the PA Dept. of Education.
FREE & REDUCED applications are filled out online at WWW.PASCHOOLMEALS.COM starting July 1, 2015. If you don't have a computer or it isn't working properly, you can apply at your local library, school or come to the Food Service office.
***NEW*** Food Service is updating our Point of Sale Program to PrimeroEdge which requires Parent Online as the online payment system. We'll provide more information once the system is up and running. You will be able to check your child's account online for balances and purchases and receive reminders should your account become negative or low. In addition, families apply for free and reduced meals online which are processed quicker and responses are received via email!
If you were approved for free or reduced meals during the 2014-2015 school year, your eligibility will carry through Oct 16, 2015 to give you a chance to reapply. YOU MUST REAPPLY EVERY YEAR FOR FREE AND REDUCED ELIGIBILITY.
Payments can be sent to school by cash, check, money order, or by using our new online payment system "Parent Online" in the near future. We'll post information as soon as the system is ready. Neshaminy School District will not call your home and ask you for credit card information.
