Most organizations have missions and strategic plans. Research has shown that very often great
organizations distinguish themselves by ensuring that their mission and strategic plans are embraced
and active in their day to day practices.

In this section of the website, the Neshaminy School District’s mission and strategic plans are
presented. Below is a brief description of what each is intended to represent.

Mission

A mission is slightly less broad than a vision but speaks generally to the core objective of the organization.

Strategic Plans

The Strategic Plans of the District speak much more specifically about what anticipated actions and directions
should take place over the next few years. Typically these strategic plans have been reviewed and agreed
upon by different parts of the organization.
