Neshaminy's elementary schools began to implement the "Math in Focus" program during the 2011-12 school year. All kindergarten, pre-first, and 1st grade teachers are using this American version of Singapore Math. In addition, we have a limited number of 2nd through 5th grade teachers who piloted the program in their classrooms this year. In the 2012-13 school year, our 2nd and 3rd grade students will all be using the program. By the 2013-14 school year, all of our elementary students will be using it. That is also the year that our curriculum is required to be aligned with national Common Core Standards, which fits perfectly with the "Math in Focus" program.
